Principal's Message - April 2017

By Andrew Macphail

Now that Spring Break and Easter are over, the remaining weeks will go very quickly.

We continue to encourage parents to ensure that their son or daughter are attending every day as every day counts. I want to especially draw your attention to our Parent-Teacher Interviews scheduled for Thurs. Apr. 27, this week. We will again have an on-line sign up program available for you as parents to book your 10 min., appointments to meet with teachers throughout the day. They will be available from 8:10 am to 2:30 pm. We will not be having a Parent-Teacher interview evening this time so please make sure to book your appointments in the allotted time. If you find booking through the on-line signup difficult you can call the school office and one of our secretaries will be able to help you.

I would like to congratulate a number of our students who are involved in the “Key Club” for their participation in volunteering for the Abbotsford Tulip Festival. We received very positive reports from the organizers for their enthusiastic participation. Also thanks to our Student Leadership class and Mr. Currie, for our teachers and parents who helped supervise and serve food and for putting together a great Spring Dance. Everyone enjoyed the fun time they had. Thank-you to our student leaders for working hard to provide fun activities for our student body.

We are excited about several key events coming up. The 30 Hour Famine fund-raiser will be coming on Fri. May 5. The Grad Grand march and Prom will be coming up on May 12. As before I would encourage you to stay in touch with your teachers concerning the progress of your son or daughter. As we near the end and time becomes short, catching up and keeping up is extremely important.

Sincerely, G. Hildebrand, Principal, ATSS
